1) Per the State of Vermont Cross-State Travel Requirements, you must quarantine prior to your arrival according to the directive below.
Residents of other states who live in a quarantine county in New England and New York or from any other state not identified on the map, must follow quarantine guidelines:
    • Effective June 15, 2020: Travelers arriving to Vermont in a personal vehicle, may complete either a 14-day quarantine or a 7-day quarantine followed by a negative test in their home state and enter Vermont without further quarantine restrictions.
    • Effective June 15, 2020: Travelers arriving to Vermont via public transportation (plane, train, bus) or from further than a direct car ride would allow may complete either a 14-day quarantine or a 7-day quarantine followed by a negative test in a Vermont lodging establishment or with friends and family (travelers must stay in their quarantine location for the duration of quarantine other than to travel to and from a test site).
2) On the morning of your arrival, you need to email or fax the Certificate of Compliance.  Email to mail@sugarlodge.com or fax to 802-583-1223.  If we do not have this form completed & on file, you will be unable to check-in.  Each adult in your party needs to complete the form and submit it.
3) Please notify us what time you plan to arrive.  You must wear a mask for check-in and in all common areas for the duration of your stay.  Please note that if you or any member of your party exhibit any signs of illness or COVID-19 upon arrival, you will not be allowed to check-in and you will be asked to return to your home state immediately.
4) The State of Vermont requests that you register with Sara Alert once you arrive in Vermont.
5) To adhere to social distancing and minimize direct contact for your safety and our staff’s safety, we have modified our usual hospitality practices:
  • The credit card on file will be charged for the full amount of your stay the morning of your arrival.  If you wish to use a different credit card, please notify us immediately.
  • Your room will be cleaned according to CDC guidelines prior to your arrival; housekeeping services will not be provided during your stay.  If you would like garbage removed, please set it outside your door.  If you need additional towels, please dial “0” to notify us and we will leave towels outside your door or at the front desk.
  • Continental breakfast service has been suspended per the Governor’s Executive Order on Food Service.  In your room, there will be suggestions and directions to establishments providing take-out service and/or outdoor dining (for breakfast, as well as other meals).
  • If you have questions regarding the area and things to do, please try to communicate those via email in advance.  While we enjoy interacting with guests and providing local knowledge, current guidelines require us to accomplish these tasks electronically to the extent possible.  You may also dial “0” from the room phone at any time during your stay to reach us for questions or concerns.
  • While our swimming pool is open, guest use is restricted.  If you are interested in using the pool, please let us know.  You will need to schedule a time slot for pool usage to allow time for chairs, gate, and railings to be disinfected in between guests and ensure your safety by minimizing possible interactions between guests.
  • Check-out is by 11 am on your departure day.  When you are ready to leave, please dial “0” to let us know you are checking out.  Leave the key in the room.
